Vca aurora professional#
I was heart broken to hear this come from a professional that did not know exactly what was going on with an animal. With the response from the Vet that was on duty that night, left me just appalled and sickened!! She told us, if we can't afford to treat her there and leave her there to be treated that we may consider euthanasia. Once we told them, as much as we want her to get better, we just cant afford thousands of dollars for her to stay and for them to run whatever tests they thought needed to be done. But before they would even start treating her, they wanted us to admit her to the hospital and run tests to figure out what was going on and that it would cost thousands of dollars.
They then told us that they need to run blood work before giving her fluids and such to bring down the fever. They came back several times to confirm what they were seeing on the dog. We told them all of the history that was already being address by our regular vet. It was by far THE WORST experience I have had at a vet. Come the weekend she was running a fever of 105, my friend that is a vet tech, told me to take her to the er.

Read Lessįor a few weeks now I have had my 6 year old dog to our regular vet for ear and skin issues. If you think over $2000 in doctor, test, and med fees should include a basic prognosis once your pet is diagnosed with cancer, you should also stay clear of them. I hope by the time that day arrives there are more vets in the area with oncology departments. Someday I will get another pet, but I will never go back to this place when they get sick. In short, I will not go back to this place. There was one person on staff who was knowledgeable and compassionate, but other than that this place felt like an extortion racket. They called me later asking if they should proceed with the cell sample because there would be yet another fee that was not in the estimate for another test that was needed before the cell sample could be taken. Went back Monday, was provided estimate for ultrasound, and another line item to take a cell sample if ultrasound showed something that needed more investigation. Arrived later that evening and was then told that ultrasound was not avail after 6pm. I specifically mentioned needing an xray and ultrasound. Almost walked Our then realized needed the meds! I went back in! To find they over chardged me! Then charged me for meds they didn’t have! Then had to refund again! They then after overcharged me for those had more meds on exit papers that weren’t discussed by doc or nurse! To find out I now need gloves and other meds from over the counter! Was not discussed how long meds are to be taken for! Was in the office from 11 am till 5pm at night with no answer from my dog! I already started leaving my reviews and called referring doctor! What a disappointment ! I will never recommend or be there again! Read LessĬalled on a weekday afternoon and asked if the same services were available and the same rates applied for normal or off hours. Our facility and equipment is truly state-of the-art and we invite you to visit us.Will not be returning! The whole Check in process was a waiting game! Then after they took my dog everyone was talking in Lobby about loosing dogs! To where I just had mine taken from me not knowing if I’d see him again! The staff was rude and not comforting or helpful! Was referred by my normal vet! After an $8,000 bill to care for my dog for three days! I opted to go with only medicine for my dog! I had two more sales pitches.Felt like a sales pitch that they had their mortgage, car and condo to pay off! Different nurses came in, no follow through! No one knew what the other said.Checking out was a nightmare! Did in room then went back out to lobby.
